Objectives

Objectives
      • To identify, design and develop product and solutions for NGN IP-based network.
      • To improve, enhance and innovate existing product, system and services in core network infrastructure.
      • To provide support for technical consultancy services in an areas of core network technology.


Expertise

The main expertise that the units have achieved and built as today are as follows:-
      • IP Flow, Network Monitoring, IP Billing, Radius/Diameter, Network Access Servers. Testbed – IP Billing System
      • SIP based system and application development, VOIP and IP Network trouble shooting. Testbed – VOIP and SIP based application system
      • Core Switching & Transmission technologies, DXC, OXC
      • IPv4 & IPv6 System Migration


NGN Architecture

IP core network technologies task will be to focus on the control & transport layer in the early phase and later phase on the development of application & services layer. (Figure 2)

The program aim to mobilize the expertise and resources to create a generic test-bed for NGN and will eventually form team as consultant to help the telecom operator in planning and implementing IP based network. Finally, it will provide stepping stone into the ability to develop new application services that help in increasing company revenue.
