Engineering Design Services specilizes in the design and development of ICT Product Design, Mechanical Design Engineering, Engineering Design Analysis, PCB Design fabrications and Rapid Prototyping. Our focus is more towards developing engineering design support to commercialize the research activities and findings in the are of telecommunication devices and other supporting system with the objective of producing a high quality product design with a cost and design competitiveness.

Major component of Engineering Design activities consist of:

Product Design and CAID (Computer Aided Industrial Design)

  • Initiate a conceptual design Ideation (Industrial Design) of products based on Product requirements by using computerized tools or manual sketch.
  • Carried out a study on Ergonomics & Human Factor Engineering for each designed products.
  • Provide an Interface Design layout in relation to Man-machine Interface study to achieve best ergonomics.
  • Presentation of ideations in a well presented manner such as computer rendering and Studios Presentation.
  • Generate a Control drawing /Digital Mock-up by using CAID tools.
  • In charge of Graphic design, branding and Corporate Image of the products.

CAD (Computer Aided Design)

  • Generate parts design by using 3D CAD software modelling.
  • Handling parts assembly by using 3D CAD Software modelling for virtual interferences check.
  • Data translation from CAD to CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) for Rapid Prototyping fabrications (STL, IGES, Neutral)

PCB Design & Fabrication

  • Perform PCB layout design according to product design & customer requirement
  • Conduct pre-production PCB fabrication activities to ensure the productivity aspect of PCB Layout Design.
  • Conducting a related to PCB fabrication activities such as drilling, PTH process, Art-Work, Copper Board Laminating, Plating, Etching and Hot-Air Leveler.

Mechanical Design and Development

  • Carried out the dealing part in mechanical engineering design by using CAD tools.
  • Carried out Mechanical Part Assembly by simulations to study components interferences & space analysis.
  • Generate mechanical design Specifications, Release and Control of the manufacturing data documentations.
  • Responsible for Design For Assembly (DFA) method in designing. The aim of design for assembly (DFA) is to simplify the product so that the cost of assembly is reduced.

Computer Aided Engineering Analysis Group (CAE)

  • Conducting a Thermal Management Analysis for TM Product.
  • Conducting a Mechanical /Thermal Loading analysis and proposed solution to the supplier or product design.
  • Conducting a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) that consists of a computer model of a material or design that is loaded and analyzed for specific results.
  • Conducting a Kinematics Analysis and undertake the Product lifecycle Management (PLM) that streamlined the product lifecycle from the identification of sales opportunities to the design and delivery of a prototype, enhencing visibility and predictability at every stage.

Rapid Prototyping

  • Building a Mock-Up & Concept modeler from various materials for ergonomics studies and design validations purposes.
  • Responsible to conduct Rapid Prototyping fabrications by using front loaded machines such as Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM), Stereo lithography (SLA), Stereo Laser Sintering (SLS) processes and Computer Numeric Cutting (CNC) for metal prototypes.
  • Prepare and conduct an Engineering Pilot Run of mechanical parts and prototypes.
