Security, Intelligent Applications & Multimedia (SIAM)
Introduction
Security, Intelligent Applications & Multimedia Program (SIAM) was established on October 01, 2005 after the reorganization of the various programs in TMR&D. SIAM is part of the Applied Research Division and is today providing R&D activities and related services in the areas of security technologies such as revenue assurance, internet intrusion detection, and cryptography; intelligent applications technologies such as SCADA engine, smart building, and RFID applications; and multimedia technologies such as multimedia streaming, and multi-play applications. The activities mainly centered around the development of applications to leverage the IP technologies.
The roles of SIAM are:

To conduct research on software-related technologies in the area of application and multimedia for Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

To play the role of resolving issues surrounding the implementation of an application product created by the company or any other TM’s subsidiary companies, ensuring smooth progress to a newer and improved version.

In line with the direction of the company, SIAM is focusing on commercializing its products and services to the external customers. To ensure the solutions produced by SIAM are of world-class standard, SIAM is embarking on the journey for Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certification.
