Introduction

Security, Intelligent Applications & Multimedia Program (SIAM) was established on October 01, 2005 after the reorganization of the various programs in TMR&D. SIAM is part of the Applied Research Division and is today providing R&D activities and related services in the areas of security technologies such as revenue assurance, internet intrusion detection, and cryptography; intelligent applications technologies such as SCADA engine, smart building, and RFID applications; and multimedia technologies such as multimedia streaming, and multi-play applications. The activities mainly centered around the development of applications to leverage the IP technologies.


The roles of SIAM are:       

•	To conduct research on software-related technologies in the area of application and multimedia for Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
•	To play the role of resolving issues surrounding the implementation of an application product created by the company or any other TM’s subsidiary companies, ensuring smooth progress to a newer and improved version.
•	In line with the direction of the company, SIAM is focusing on commercializing its products and services to the external customers. To ensure the solutions produced by SIAM are of world-class standard, SIAM is embarking on the journey for Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certification.
