TM R&D CEO Joins MiGHT’s Futures According to Women Report Launch

TM R&D CEO Dr Sharlene Thiagarajah participated in the launch of MiGHT’s Futures According to Women report, officiated by YABhg Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Dr Wan Ismail and YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri.

The publication brings together women from diverse fields and captures their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities shaping Malaysia’s future. Dr Sharlene was among the women invited to contribute to the report, under the Women in Science and Technology chapter.

She also joined the panel session, “From Voices to Value: How Women’s Futures Thinking Strengthens National Decision-Making,” alongside Puan Zainariah Johari, Director of Impacq Capital and Prof Madya Dr Nasrudin Subhi, Associate Professor at the Centre for Research in Psychology and Human Well-Being, UKM.

During the session, Dr Sharlene shared her thoughts on AI, research, innovation and the role of women in shaping future industries. She emphasised that intelligence is gender-neutral and that women should have the right opportunities and support to contribute, lead and shape the future.

The event brought together leaders and accomplished women from different sectors, creating a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives on building a more inclusive future.
