Job Description:
- Research and development of robotics solutions based on research roadmap and project requirements
- Responsible for robotics research, system development, algorithm development, prototyping, simulation and documentation in the areas of mobile robotics and Cobots
- Collaborate with multiple agile teams to design, source, develop and implement robotics system and solutions including hardware, software and integration to IoT platforms
- Support business and technical documentation in relation to proposals, procurement, testing and hardware certifications amongst others
- For senior role, contribute technical advice as a subject matter expert on project teams and provide mentorship for junior team members
Requirements:
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or similar qualification of relevant working experience (minimum 5 years for Senior position)
- Proven experience in robotics solutions including AMRs and Cobots
- Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics and control theory
- Solid programming skills in relation to hardware firmware and software platform including Python, C++ and JavaScript
- Experience with embedded systems and OS environments such as ROS, Linux and Raspberry Pi
- Experience with 3D CAD software for robot design and simulation
- Awareness on IoT security best practices
- Familiarity IoT connectivity, 3D printing and image processing will be added advantage
- Passionate about learning and staying updated in emerging IR4.0 trends and technologies in relation to robotics and automation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
